I had the privilege to photograph Declan & Lydia’s rustic wedding at Beaulieu Treehouses. The weather was kind and the sun even shone for the latter part of the day, making listening to the wonderful Celtic band around a campfire a wonderful, atmospheric part of the day, which included toasted marshmallows and some spontaneous Irish dancing. The venue was filled with jars of wild flowers, fairy lights and rope bridges in the trees giving a magical feel to the day.
The couple were really into their cars so we used two they had on the day for some of their bride and groom shots, and in the evening I used a splash of off camera flash to light a dramatic shot on the rope bridge to showcase all the coloured ambient lighting. Lydia looked beautiful in her ivory lace dress (and I do love a net hair piece – so elegant!), so couldn’t resist the opportunity to take some ‘beauty shots’ of her (see below).
